At the middle school and high school age (11-18) when on-court and off-court development is vital for playing at the collegiate level, no program in the world better prepares student-athletes than the IMG Bollettieri Tennis Academy.
With a staff consisting of some of the sport's top coaches to develop your technical and tactical skill, cutting-edge technology to refine mechanics, IMG Performance Institute programs to increase power and agility, and the fully accredited, on-campus IMG Pendleton School challenging students in the classroom, IMG Bollettieri gives student-athletes the ultimate chance to reach their goals and become the TOTAL STUDENT-ATHLETE.
The Bollettieri Advantage
In 1978, the IMG Bollettieri Tennis Academy pioneered the concept of a "tennis training academy" and has set the standard for the industry ever since. The formula was created with total development of the player in mind - one who can perform technically, tactically, physically and mentally and become the TOTAL STUDENT ATHLETE.
Our world-class coaching staff utilizes the “Bollettieri Method” – a periodized approach to the game that has been perfected over the last 30 years. During that time we have worked with many of the world’s best athletes – Maria Sharapova, Tommy Haas, Andre Agassi – just to name a few, we have helped a countless number of students maximize their own potential. Our coaches meet daily to discuss individual player progress and ways to continually improve the program.
High school and middle school students at the IMG Bollettieri Tennis Academy learn to compete against players of different ages and abilities while also competing in a variety of formats, from in-house Grand Prix tournaments to USTA, ITF, and WTA/ATP events. Students work closely with our Tournament Director, Ricardo Icaza, to determine the best competitions to attend to help reach their goal. Students also receive technical and instructional advice from Nick and his veteran staff throughout the program to apply during match play.
While we continue to teach the basics of winning tennis, each student will also spend time in “Nick’s War Room,” where they will be exposed to the fundamentals of strategy that have been the backbone of our success over the years. Through our off-court strategy sessions, we teach our students how to use shot combinations to minimize open-court opportunities for their opponents. In addition to the in-class aspect, students will experience match-simulation drills to reinforce better shot and decision making. The goal of this program is to develop confident athletes who are mentally and physically prepared for all of the challenges of today’s game.
IMG Pendleton School

PERFORMANCE ELECTIVES
The TOTAL ATHLETE is someone who maximizes his or her full potential across all dimensions of performance. Someone who refuses to sacrifice academics for athletics — or vice versa.
Becoming the TOTAL ATHLETE, however, takes time and commitment. The earlier a student-athlete enrolls at IMG Academies during his or her prep years, the more time they will have to learn, grow, develop and experience all that IMG Academies has to offer, helping them become confident that they can take on the world during their journey through life.
