Weylu Chang

About:

Weylu began high school at the Pingree School in South Hamilton, MA. When his passion and need for excellence in tennis called, his parents moved him and his sister to the Bollettieri Tennis Academy (IMG Academies) to further their training.  Weylu then finished his high school years at Bradenton Academy in Bradenton, FL.  After High school Weylu went on to play on the ATP Professional tennis tour for 3 years.  He achieved a ranking of 1053.  After a few years time, he decided to go back to school and accepted a scholarship to the University of Alabama where he played singles & doubles on the varsity tennis team.  The Crimson Tide reached an all time high ranking of nine in the country during Weylu’s senior year.  Weylu also is an adult leader for the Fusion Middle School Ministry at Bayside Community Church and speaks both English and Mandarin Chinese.

  • WTA Traveling Coach for Monica Seles and Ai Sugiyama.
  • Head Tennis Professional at Rowayton Tennis Association, teaching both adults and juniors. Taught and coordinated adult and junior clinics. Coordinated Women’s and Junior League Teams.
  • Tennis Coach and Director of Strength & Conditioning at Hurricane Tennis Academy.
  • Head Tennis Professional and Fitness Coach at Next Generation Tennis Academy.
  • Internship at Athletes’ Performance in Tempe, AZ under strength and conditioning coach, Mark Verstegan, as a performance specialist.
