Earlier this month, the Yarmouth High girls lacrosse team spent six days training at the IMG Lacrosse Academy. This week, the Clippers trounced rival North Yarmouth Academy — the same team that eliminated Yarmouth in last year’s regionals — 16-9.
Coincidence?
“You showed them what it means to compete and how its impossible to compete only at the ‘Game Time’, you have to do it in practice too,” Jill Thomas, assistant coach of Yarmouth, wrote in an email to IMG Lacrosse coach Tony Ventiquattro. “Thank you for all you did for them. As you can read from the article, they are well aware of the hard work it took to get them here… Thanks again It was a great experience.”
Congrats, Clippers!
