3-Week December/January Camps
Ever imagined training like a professional lacrosse player? Perfect fields dedicated to lacrosse only. Lacrosse-specific performance training programs. Learning from the game’s top coaches. This is all available at the IMG Lacrosse Academy’s 3-Week December/January Lacrosse Camps.
By incorporating a three-week cyclical structure, lacrosse players can learn both the basic fundamental and advanced training in all facets of the game.
Lacrosse Camp Details:
- For ages 10-19 and all ability levels
- Three sessions available: December 11-31, January 1-21 and January 22-February 11
- Two camp options available: Core and THE TOTAL ATHLETE (see below)
- The IMG Lacrosse Academy is the only full-time lacrosse residency program in the country
- 10 lacrosse teaching sessions per week
- Low Coach-to-Camper ratio
- Includes drilling, strategy sessions, and scrimmaging
- Video analysis by Dartfish, the sports most respected video system
- Player education - each day session orientation with IMG coaches – lecture on the session, specific discussion on what will be coached that session, goals and instructions, plus video demonstration
- A more in depth, intense program for the dedicated lacrosse player
- Attention to all aspects of individual and team lacrosse
- Increase speed, strength and overall athletic ability
- Opportunity for campers to see visibly witness their progression from week one through week three by utilizing Dartfish HD Video Analysis
- Full evaluations at the end of camp by some of th e finest coaches in the country
- Analysis of NCAA, Major League Lacrosse and Team USA games
- Daily Lacrosse Training Sessions Include:
o Individual shooting mechanics analysis
o Athletic skills development
o Proper ground ball techniques
o Checks
o Draw and Face-off Play

Three-Week Camps + TOEFL training (ages 16 and up)
Half-day of core sport camp plus 3 hours per day of TOEFL training for student-athletes preparing for English proficiency exams. Student-athletes will focus on academic listening, speaking, reading and writing. For more information regarding the TOEFL 3-week camps, click here.
Details:
- Intermediate or Advanced English speakers only.
- Prepares student-athletes for the TOEFL test that measures the ability to use and understand English at the university level (used by more than 8,000 colleges and institutions in more than 130 countries, as well as immigration departments and licensing agencies).
- Focuses on reading and writing proficiency.
- Includes three complete practice TOEFL tests.
- Allows for only morning sports participation. Afternoons are for classroom work.
Three-Week Camps + ESL classes (ages 10 -19)
Half-day of core sport camp plus 3 hours per day of English as a Second Language classes. This program is designed for short-term campers and does not qualify for a student visa. Lively activities and classroom projects & games help campers learn English the fun way!
Details:
- All levels of English speakers, from Beginning to Advanced, are welcome, with campers assigned to one of three levels depending on their English proficiency.
- Classes integrate speaking, writing, listening, and grammar skills. Emphasis is on oral communication and vocabulary development.
- Campers will participate in active & fun communicative classes with hands-on projects based on rotating weekly themes. Projected themes for 2011 include food, sports & recreations, body & health, and travel/USA.
- Certificate of completion at end of program
- Campers enroll in 3 hours of afternoon classes following a morning sport program.
3-Week Lacrosse Camp + Performance
In today’s competitive atmosphere, the most effective training programs are not one-size-fits-all. To reach your full potential, every player and every position needs a customized on-field and off-field training program that specifically identifies and addresses all of your goals and skills that need refined.
Details:
- Half-day of lacrosse training and half-day of performance training
- Physical conditioning includes:
o Mobility/Flexibility (Injury prevention and agility): Active dynamic warm-up and active isolation stretching
o Core Posture (Speed and agility): Proper firing patterns and activation of stabilizers
o Movement: Plyometrics, multi-dimensional movement and technical mechanics
o Strength and Power: Stability and propulsion, force rate development, and multi-planed motion training
o Energy System Development: Metabolic training, medicine ball work and training zones - Incorporates other key performance elements, including Mental Conditioning, Communication, Nutrition, Vision Training and more

IMG Lacrosse Academy camps are led by lacrosse veteran Patrick Haley. Born and raised in Maryland, Patrick has played and coached lacrosse for 20 years. He played high school lacrosse for St. Mary’s Annapolis in the powerful MIAA-A conference before playing two years at Towson University for Tony Seaman, then transferring to Florida State where he led his team in 2007 with 30 goals and 21 assists. Prior to IMG, Patrick coached at every different age group for the La Jolla Lacrosse Club in San Diego, CA, where he played for top team Quicksilver Lacrosse Club.
