Trevor Moawad

About:

Trevor Moawad began his career at IMGA in 1999 as a member of the highly regarded mental conditioning division.  In the last 8 years, Trevor has emerged from consultant to the director of mental conditioning and is now responsible for overseeing a talented staff of over 30 full-time employees.  IPI’s core focus concentrates in the areas of Leadership, Communication, Mental Conditioning, Wellness (regeneration), Sports Medicine, Nutrition and Physical Conditioning.

Moawad has received world-wide recognition for his involvement in the field of mental conditioning and peak performance education.  He motivates the motivated. In working with some of the best coaches and the most elite athletes, Moawad has coaxed the ultimate in production from some of the most respected names in the business. Youth-soccer-phenom, Freddy Adu states, “Trevor has a sense of empathy and knowledge that separates him from others in this area (mental conditioning).  He takes unique or complex information and presents it is a way that directly relates to you.  I have worked with him since I was 11 years old. The message of positive expectation has stayed the same – but the model of delivery has consistently evolved.”

Moawad is the son of Bob Moawad, an original contributor to Chicken Soup For The Soul and the former President of the National Association For Self-Esteem.  Moawad was widely considered one of the best-platform speakers in the area of personal-improvement Nation-Wide and boasted a client list of companies including Starbucks, AT&T, and NASA.  The clients Trevor Moawad has managed include University of Alabama, Florida State University, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and The US Soccer Federation to name a few.

Education/Accreditations:

  • MA in Education (emphasis in Social Sciences) from Occidental College
  • BA in Comparative Politics from Occidental College

    Experience:

Before working at IMG Academies, Trevor was a high school educator in the Los Angeles Unified School District where he dedicated his time to helping disadvantaged inner-city youth reach their potential.  “It was the peace-corps with pay,” Moawad says, “but it was a Harvard Education when it came to class-room management and increasing my range when it comes to the performance principles.”  After, he worked at the prestigious, North Broward Preparatory school in Boca Raton, Florida as an educator and mentor within the school system while coaching elite level soccer teams throughout the area.  While working in Boca Raton, Trevor got connected with the IMG model and spent numerous hours at the Evert Tennis Academy mentally training amateur athletes to play at both the college and professional levels.

During his undergraduate studies, Trevor played both soccer and basketball for Occidental College earning All-SCIAC honors in 1994 and 1995.  He was awarded as a three-time Most Inspirational Player while in the NCAA as well as an NSCAA-Umbro All-American nominee in 1995.   After college, Moawad pursued and played professional soccer in the USISL until an injury forced him to retire and shift his energy towards the applied field of mental conditioning.

Moawad was recently inducted into his High School (Charles Wright Academy) athletic Hall of Fame as a soccer player in October 2005.
