About:

Scott is a nineteen-year, seasoned veteran in the world of collegiate athletics and academics. For the past ten years Scott has emerged at IMG Academies as a college recruiting specialist. He has helped develop the college planning and placement department and taken recruiting education to the next level. As a master of the recruiting process, he has effectively helped students in tennis, soccer, baseball, golf, football and basketball to earn millions of dollars in scholarships and placement in the best universities in the world. His #1 goal with each student is to find “the right college fit” and to do this he offers expert strategies that help students and their families navigate the rigorous placement process.

Scott has formed relationships with athletic departments, college coaches, admissions departments, the NCAA and professional affiliations which pave the way for IMG Academies students. Over a ten-year period he has seen a change in the recruiting process for prospective student-athletes.

Three distinct differences include a process that starts much earlier, more pressure on a good athlete to have strong grades and SAT scores as well, and the importance of the internet in the process.

Prior to becoming a recruiting coordinator full-time at IMG Academies, Scott worked under the tutelage of famed tennis coach Nick Bollettieri at IMGA. As a coach he worked with the best professional and college tennis players in the world. In addition to on court coaching and clinics, he assisted in the “Tennis in a Can” project, which was designed to improve high school tennis programs throughout the United States.

Prior to IMGA, Scott coached at Texas A&M University, where he earned a Masters of Science Degree in business and guided the Aggies to a #4 national ranking and three Big XII Championships. He was voted assistant coach of the year in Texas and was part of a #1 recruiting class.

As a student-athlete he played college tennis at the highest level at the University of New Mexico and University of Kentucky.

He resides in Sarasota with his wife Amy, daughter Lucy and son Giles.
