Before you train, after you train…Take care of your body.

As an athlete trains day-in and day-out, specific regeneration components are crucial to maximizing training results. Prior to training we conduct a comprehensive biomechanical assessment that identifies movement patterns, past injuries, areas of weakness and imbalance that ultimately lead to injury and/or poor overall performance if left unaddressed. The assessment is the basis of building a program specific to an individual athlete’s needs and ensures that the body is working in harmony towards optimum performance while reducing the potential for injury.

Post training regeneration is critical to enhancing the body’s ability to repair and recover. This is accomplished through a multitude of methods including deep tissue sports massage, dynamic warm-ups, active recovery, manual manipulation, and hot/cold contrasts – all aimed at rebuilding and rejuvenating the body to allow athletes to continue to train and perform, all the while reducing the potential for injury.

At the IMG Performance Institute the Athletic Regeneration Program combines the expertise of our Sports Therapy Center, athletic training staff, performance specialists and our new full service Wellness Center & Spa to ensure that every athletes needs are met – and all are located on the IMG Academies campus for your convenience.

Athletic Training

The athletic training staff at the IMG Performance Institute (IPI) is dedicated to ensuring every athlete is training as safely as possible on or off the field. As part of the athlete’s everyday training, full-time staff are available before, during or after workouts on the field, turf or in the weight room. IPI staff provide all pre- and post-training services including hydrotherapy, taping and wrapping, soft tissue techniques, and dynamic stretching, as well as modalities like PENS, Electrical Stimulation and Ultrasound.

The team of athletic trainers, physical therapists and strength and speed coaches work as one unit to improve the athlete’s overall performance while minimizing the risk of injury.

The fourth and final component of this team consists of several fellowship-trained orthopedic doctors who possess a wide variety of experience and expertise in the evaluation of orthopedic injuries.
