In today’s competitive football atmosphere, the most effective training programs are not one-size-fits-all.

To reach your full potential, every player and every position needs a customized on-field and off-field training program that specifically identifies and addresses all of your goals and skills that need refined.

By modifying the successful training elements that have helped dozens of NFL Draft selections and established NFL stars to the youth level, the Football Performance Training program through the IMG Performance Institute and IMG Madden Football Academy will help you become bigger, stronger, faster and more confident on the football field this season.

What is Football Performance Training at IMG Academies

The benefits of Football Performance Training span well beyond the football field, as the goal is to expand and enhance your skill set to increase overall development. Communication, mental conditioning, nutrition and vision training classes will prepare you to perform at a peak level in all phases of life by helping your overall health and instilling vital traits like determination, focus and self-belief.

Physical conditioning, though, will most directly impact your on-field results. Through years of experience and scientific research, our IPI specialists can tailor a program to help you become a better football player. We will focus on:

  • Mobility/Flexibility (Injury prevention and agility): Active dynamic warm-up and active isolation stretching
  • Core Posture (Speed and agility): Proper firing patterns and activation of stabilizers
  • Movement: Plyometrics, multi-dimensional movement and technical mechanics
  • Strength and Power: Stability and propulsion, force rate development, and multi-planed motion training
  • Energy System Development: Metabolic training, medicine ball work and training zones


Programs are strategically sequenced and delivered for athletes to maximize potential and get the ultimate results from training. Programs will include a mix of free weights, cardio equipment, kettle bells, physio balls, chains, medicine balls, vibration platforms, sand bags, sleds, myofascial release techniques, unstable surface training, plyometrics, hurdles and more – all with video analysis to ensure proper technique.

5:00-7:00pmRegeneration Massage (Wednesday), Dinner (all other days)
