The IMG College Planning and Placement Center works with all students including post-graduates to create an individualized roadmap to reach their goal of studying and playing their sport at the collegiate level. This work begins upon a student’s entry into high school (grade 9) and incorporates families, coaches, and university admissions and athletic staff in their efforts. Overview
Student Life II
The IMG Academies Parent Group is a widely diverse group in terms of culture, race, religion, family-style, geographic location and parent occupation. The Group thrives off of parents who are community-minded, grounded in positive values and committed to active participation in the life of the Academy.
We strive to make all parents feel welcome and connected to the Academy, as well as to each other. The vehicle through which parents contribute to the life of the Academy is the IMG Academies Parent Group. All parents and/or guardians of current IMG student-athletes are members.
Through the efforts of the Administration, IMG Pendleton faculty, IMG Student Services, and the IMG Academies Parent Group, the Academy provides numerous ways for parents to interact with each other and discover and participate in activities that foster community spirit.
Important Announcements
- IMG Academies Parent Group meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month from 7-8pm in the IMG Conference Center. We provide guest speakers for each meeting and have an open discussion at the end of each session. Parents who are not able to attend our monthly meetings in person may access meetings by viewing on our Live Streaming Channel.
- Emails regarding IMG Pendleton School policies and procedures will be sent out to those Pendleton parents who have provided an email in their Newton/Orbund Profile.
Student Life
In many ways, "community" is the single most important idea at IMG. Boarding and non-boarding student-athletes come together to pursue similar academic goals, train and compete in their respective sports and participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.All IMG student-athletes are woven into the fabric of student life at the IMG Academies, with its wide array of activities that complement time spent in the classroom. In addition to athletics, IMG’s co-curriculars include community service and student council. The local community in which we reside provides countless opportunities for off-campus activities, including running errands, excursions to some of the best beaches in the country, day trips to the mall, or enjoying international film festivals ( www.sarasotafilmfestival.com).
