About/Experience:
Scott Bowers is in his firth year as Head of Goalkeeping for IMG Soccer Academy. He is also the assistant coach of the Bradenton Academics PDL soccer team which plays during the summer and consists of college players.
Scott comes to the academy with more than 12 years of college coaching experience. He has coached both men and women in Division I, II and III. He started his career at Salisbury University coaching both men and women. Scott helped the women’s program to get to the NCAA Tournament and a 21-1-2 record. He then went on to coach at the University of Tampa in 2001 where the men’s program went undefeated and won the NCAA National Championship.
Scott moved onto West Virginia University the following year. He assisted in all facets of the Men’s Soccer program including recruiting, training, budgeting, scouting, fund raising and academic advising. Scott played a crucial role in the development of three MLS goalkeepers including Nick Noble (Chicago Fire), Aaron Pichkolan (FC Dallas) and Devon McTavish (DC United.) In 2004, Bowers assisted WVU in a 12-7-1 record. The team knocked off two ranked opponents, St. John’s and Notre Dame, and made it to the Big East Conference semi-finals.
Scott received a Bachelor’s degree from Salisbury University. He also received a Master’s Degree from WVU in Athletic Coaching Education. Scott is a US Navy Veteran, serving his time as an aviational structural mechanic on the flight deck of the USS Lexington. He was honorably discharged after serving three years active duty and four years in the reserves.
Scott holds a USSF “A” license, as well as a USSF National Goalkeeper license. He also holds the NSCAA level I and II Goalkeeper Licenses.
Scott, wife Erica, and their son Tristan and daughter Kaya reside in South Pasadena, Florida.

Kim Dean is the head coach of the U17 Girls Team at the IMG Soccer Academy and has been coaching women's soccer since 1993. She brings a wealth of soccer knowledge and experience to the IMG Soccer Academy and has coaching at both the youth and collegiate level and before joining the IMG Soccer Academy she was the Director of Coaching, Youth Girls for the Texas Rush Soccer Club from 2005-2010. She was also the Director of Coaching at Stony Brook Soccer Club from 2002-2005 and was the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at Stony Brook University from 1998-2002.
She’s halfway around the world from Bradenton, but IMG Soccer Academy alum Megan Manthey is still living her dream of playing pro soccer. Playing for Fortuna Hjorring in Denmark, she is competing at the highest level since attending IMG Soccer Academy in the 2004-2005 season.
