General Questions
Where is IMG Academies?
IMG Academies is located in Bradenton, Florida, one hour south of Tampa International Airport and 20 minutes north of Sarasota/Bradenton Airport. Bradenton is located on the Gulf Coast of Florida.
Can I just stop by and look at the place?
No. In order to enter the IMG Academies campus, you must have an appointment. If you would like to tour the facility, please contact the sales department (941.752.2600). General tours are conducted Tuesdays at 2 pm and Thursdays at 10 am (limited space). If you are interested in making an appointment at The Wellness Spa, please call 941.739.7390.
What type of transportation is available for me once I am at IMG Academies, as well as to and from the airport?
Super Shuttle is available for transportation to and from the airport and IMG Academies campus. Please call Guest Services to book a pick up time and discuss rates (941.755.1000). If you require transportation during your stay on campus, please call the Transportation desk for rates (941.755.1000).
Are pets allowed?
No. Pets are not allowed on campus, with the exception of service dogs.
Can my children stay together in the same room?
Children are grouped together in rooms by their age and gender. Therefore, if siblings of the same gender are close in age, rooming may be a possibility. Brothers and sisters cannot room together.
Can a friend take my kids off campus?
Yes, but parents and guardians must put their list of approved people who can take students off-campus in writing. If a person is not on the list, they will not be allowed to take an IMG Academies student off campus (even if they are a relative).
What are your hours?
(Sales and Guest Relations) The Sales office is open from 8 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday and from 8 am to 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Hours may vary for the Sales Office during holidays. Guest relations is open from 7 am to 11 pm seven days a week. There is 24-hour security on campus each day of the week.
What is your curfew?
For those students 18 and older that have their own car and can leave campus, during the week (Monday -Thursday) the curfew is 9:45pm, Friday and Saturday it is 10:30pm and Sunday night it is 9:00pm.
Do you have wireless Internet at your facility?
Yes, all on-campus housing has up to 3 Access Points for wireless internet (the students’ computers will connect to the strongest one automatically).
Can students bring their cell phone and iPOD?
Yes, students may bring these items. Lockers are available for storage of personal belongings (student must provide lock).
Do you have laundry facilities?
Yes, we have on-site coin operated laundry facilites. We have have a laundry service that is contracted out for students if they wish to use that.
What are the dates for the summer camps?
Summer camps are available every week of the summer, from the first week of June until the last week of August.
What are the dates for the weekly programs?
Short time programs are available every week of the year. There may be exceptions during the holidays (please call the Sales office at 941.752.2600 for the holiday schedule).
Are there activities arranged outside of program hours?
Yes. Generally, there are local trips to the movies, beaches, and mini golf. Trips to area theme parks may also be offered. Each week, there are optional weekday trips to Wal-Mart and grocery stores. Students will receive an activity schedule at the beginning of each week.
Are the student-housing buildings supervised?
Yes, all student-housing buildins and APV are supervised. Security is on campus 24/7.
What size are the beds in the rooms?
Most of our beds are extended twins.
Does each student have a desk and chair in the room?
There is a dining room table and chairs in the commom area. Many of our students bring their own small desks or purchase one locally once they see the space they have.
Can packages be shipped to my child?
Yes, but not until after they are enrolled. They can be sent to:

Is the student housing furnished?
Our rooms have a sofa, kitchen table, living room set, television, and beds.
Can full-time students attend public schools?
No. Full time students can choose from four approved private schools in the area, may have a private tutor, or may be home schooled.
Do you offer private lessons without participating in the programs?
No. In order to partake in a private lesson, you must be registered for a program.
Can I do more than one sport per week?
It is not recommended. You may sign up for more than one sport in a multi-week reservation.
How much is the program?
The program price will vary depending on sport program, housing option, and school choice. Please call the Sales office (941.752.2600) for prices. Tuition for academic schooling is not included in IMG Academies price because all of the schools are separate and non-affiliated.
What forms do I need to fill out?
Juniors need to fill out the following forms: Registration, Cancellation Policy Notification, Consent for Treatment, Transportation/Student Bank, Physical/Health Report, Waiver, and Agreement to Participate. Adults need to sign the Waiver and the Cancellation Policy Notification. All forms must be completed prior to the athlete starting their program, and can be found here.
Can I use my child’s school physical instead of the IMG Academies health form?
No. The physical must be completed on the IMGA forms and signed by a physician.
Is it possible to accommodate special dietary needs?
Yes. IMG Academies can provide kosher and vegetarian options (there may be an additional charge). Prior notification is necessary.
Will my child have a roommate?
Generally it's 2-3 students per bedroom, during the summer it can between 4-6. We also have upgraded housing options (semiprivate and private rooms).
What airports are close to IMG Academies?
The closest airport is the Bradenton/Sarasota International (SRQ), which is 20 minutes from IMG Academies. Tampa International (TPA) is one hour north of IMG Academies. St. Petersburg (PIE) is about 45 minutes north. Orlando (MCO) is approximately two hours away from IMG Academies. Miami International (MIA) is four hours away.
What means of payment are accepted?
IMG Academies accepts cash, personal check, traveler’s check, money order, Visa, Master Card, American Express, Diner’s, and wire transfers.
Is there a uniform required for IMG Academies students?
No. There are no established uniforms for the sport programs for juniors. However, the academic schools may require a uniform. For adults in the tennis program, please note that proper tennis shoes (not running shoes) must be worn on the courts.
When is junior check-in for the weekly/summer program?
Students check in on Sundays and check out on Saturdays (there may be optional half-day sessions offered on Saturdays, depending on the sport). Sports programs run from Monday through Friday for short time juniors. There may be exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
