To ensure the quality and consistency of the IMG Leadbetter Golf Academy instruction, all IMG Leadbetter Golf Academy teaching professionals are required to complete an intense, comprehensive (theoretical and practical), one year teaching certification program, which, if student’s results are the measure, is the world’s finest teaching program. Critical to the IMG Leadbetter Golf Academy formula is the selection and training of instructors in David Leadbetter's teaching philosophy. The rigorous process in pursuit of this end ensures the highest instructional standards along with a delivery that is consistent in quality and content at every academy. This unique feature allows progress made by a student at one academy to be continued at another. In addition, it offers the chance to combine instruction with vacations across a network of the IMG Leadbetter Golf Academy resorts located around the world.

Each "certified" IMG Leadbetter Golf Academy instructor completes an initial training period under David's personal supervision. This is followed by a year of training under the guidance of a senior instructor where golf psychology, bio-mechanics, physiology, course management and optimal nutrition are studied in tandem with the fundamental Leadbetter teaching philosophy.

As the components of the most advanced instructor training program available are learned, so too are the skills needed to transfer these benefits through practical teaching routines. Only upon successful completion of the training program is the instructor accredited by David as "certified" to teach his philosophy. This level of knowledge is further enhanced through annual re-certification ensuring the highest quality of golf instruction available anywhere.
