Philosophy
The IMG Leadbetter Golf Academy has impacted junior golf more than any other academy in the world, and has become the standard by which all golf camp/academy programs are measured. In the past 15+ years, the IMG Leadbetter Golf Academy has produced 130 AJGA all-Americans, 10 AJGA Players of the Year, 3 Nancy Lopez Award winners, 4 AJGA Sportsmanship Award winners, 2 United States Amateur Champions and 4 United States Girls’ Junior Champions. The IMG Leadbetter Golf Academy teaching philosophy can be simply defined as “providing an environment of excellence wherein everything from the fundamentals to success is taught, stressed and managed while helping you become the TOTAL STUDENT-ATHLETE.
At the IMG Leadbetter Golf Academy, we combine the “Leadbetter Philosophy” of teaching with the Academy training philosophy. Our junior, collegiate, adult and professional students do not focus solely on swing mechanics, but are guided in other areas such as tournament preparation, practicing techniques and course management. Sessions at IMG Academies' Mental Conditioning, as well as physical training at the IMG Performance Institute, are important additional components of our program that build golf athletes who can “play,” not just swing.
