What is a typical daily schedule?

Our full time student athletes attend our on-campus private school, The Pendleton School at IMG Academies or off-campus local private schools in the area. The IMG Leadbetter Golf Academy has a split schedule: some students attend the FT golf program in the morning and attend afternoon school classes. The other students attend academic school in the morning and attend afternoon golf program. Classes at The Pendleton School at IMG Academies begin at 7:45am each morning, M-F and their afternoon golf schedule would be from 2:00-5:00 each day. The opposite schedule would apply for the afternoon school students. The morning golf program runs from 8:30-11:30 they eat lunch and then start school at 12:45pm. The IMG Performance Institute offers traning for our Full Timers for days a week (Monday – Thursday) at 5:30 PM.

Will I play on a team at the IMG Leadbetter Golf Academy or the Pendleton School at IMG Academies?

We do not offer a highschool golf team.

How do I determine if I am good enough to attend the IMG Leadbetter Golf Academy?

Always remember we are a training facility. We teach golf and we are the best in world at doing so. While athleticism is important, our coaching staff has dealt for years with different levels of talent. Golf is a game that can be taught if you are willing to work hard in the classroom and on the field.

Can my family visit the academy?

Yes and we welcome your visit. Golf student athletes and their parents are encouraged to visit with us. The visit will include a tour of our 300 acre campus in Bradenton, Florida, scheduled meetings with The Pendleton School, IMG Admissions and other key departments on our campus. These meetings are designed to assist you and your parents to better understand what we do here and why we are successful.

I am very interested in playing college golf. Does the Leadbetter Academy help me accomplish this goal?

Yes, most certainly. While no one can guarantee you that you can play college or professional golf, we place major emphasis on assisting you in the endeavor. We will consult with you and you parents and discuss your academic goals first. As you know academic goals will be based partially on your SAT and/or ACT results. You must always remember that academics come before golf. College coaches recruit students first, and golfers second. Additionally, we will develop a system for you to follow in developing a relationship with college golf coaches. After you have been selected to attend the IMG Leadbetter Golf Academy, you will be asked to prepare a list of universities and colleges that you may have interest in attending. That is where it all starts.
