Gavin Patton, a former George Washington standout, will sign to play baseball at the University of Kentucky.

Patton helped GW to its only state tournament appearance in 2008. He currently is a student at the IMG Baseball Academy in Bradenton, Fla., where he played for a team that finished with a 31-1 record. He batted .413 with 39 RBIs, four doubles and three home runs this year.
