Imagine a place that nurtures dedicated boys and girls from around the world and helps them achieve their true potential. Imagine a place where approximately 85% of these young students graduate to attend college. Imagine a place where many have become celebrated athletes and raised the bar in their respective sport.
This "place" is the IMG Academies (IMGA) and the Pendleton School campus, located on a 300-acre complex in Bradenton, on the Gulf Coast of Florida. These institutions are jointly devoted to helping student-athletes attain academic and athletic excellence in a one-of-a-kind international training and educational environment.
Our students come from all walks of life and represent a diverse mix of people and cultures. Whether they arrive from the U.S. or places beyond, they receive the comprehensive academic and athletic training needed to help them maximize their ability to excel in school, in sports and in life.
Monica Seles, Jim Courier, Maria Sharapova and Paula Creamer are just a few of the well-known IMGA alumni who have benefited from our scholarship assistance.
At the core of IMGA is its full-time semester program, which enrolls approximately 800 students each year, in six different sports programs including the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy, David Leadbetter Golf Academy, and the Soccer, Baseball, Basketball and Swimming Academies. The full-time academy is run in conjunction with the on-campus Pendleton School. Pendleton is fully accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools. Its teaching faculty is skilled in assisting student-athletes achieve their academy goals in collaboration with their athletic pursuits.
Our mission is to create The Student Athlete Foundation with enough money to fund room, board and education costs each year for qualified, deserving students who would otherwise be unable to afford the IMGA/Pendleton experience.
With your generous tax deductible donation, we can provide scholarships for boys and girls, ages 9 to 19, from the United States and abroad to attend The Pendleton School and IMG Academies. Scholarhips are considered on a wide range of criteria, taking into account academic performance, athletic commitment, individual hardship, degree (or even absence) of family support, etc.
By developing a long-term funding mechanism, Pendleton and IMGA will provide the tools to help these students discover and realize their true potential. Your contribution will forge a path for a new generation of dedicated youngsters from around the world to gain access to skills that help them succeed in today's society, both in and out of the classroom, on and off the athletic field.
