English Programs
The University of Miami at IMG Academies offers a variety of English language programs to suit your needs.
If you want to join a class or if you prefer private instruction, we can provide you with the skills you need to improve your English.
- Small classes ensure that each student has the opportunity to receive the individualized instruction and attention needed to progress to the best of his or her ability.
- A student body from many different countries enables students to have the opportunity to learn about a variety of cultures and points of view while they learn about American culture.
- Special events and activities, such as theme parties and field trips, enhance classroom studies.

The Intensive English Program is a rigorous academic course of study that can help
prepare you to succeed in an American school or at professional level in the United States.
The Short Time English Program gives you the flexibility to improve your English on your own schedule. This is for students who are in the United States for a short time.
The English and Sports Program allows you to improve your English while you train in a sport at IMG Academies. 
The Junior English Program is for students between the ages of 9 and 13. It helps students develop English skills that will help them succeed in an American middle or high school.
Private English Programs pair you with a teaching professional that will help you meet your specific language needs, like accent reduction, business English, survival English or conversational English.
College Courses
Student-athletes, either advanced high school seniors or high school graduates that have chosen to postpone college for a year to train at IMG Academies, now have the opportunity to earn college credit on-campus. The University of Miami offers a minimum of four college courses on the IMG Academies campus each semester. The courses taught (English Composition, Anthropology, Economics, and Sports Management) are chosen to be easily transferable to the student's school of choice. Since students only study part-time, enrollment in UM courses does not affect NCAA eligibility.
SAT Preparation
With today’s strict university admissions and competitive athletic scholarships, college coaches are concerned with more than just your athletic ability. Coaches also want you to have a strong academic background, which includes high standardized test scores. Enhance your game at IMG Academies and boost your score on the SAT with the University of Miami test prep program. Students will learn time-saving solutions, test-taking techniques, insights into the exam construction and purpose, and strategies to help you maximize your score.
