Pendleton School
Welcome to The Pendleton School!
Founded in 1999, The Pendleton School is a college preparatory school located on the grounds of the internationally renowned athletic training complex of IMG Academies. Offering Pre-K through high school curricula, Pendleton is accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Florida Kindergarten Council. Pendleton students benefit from the security of the IMGA campus, and the school’s proximity provides a coordinated flow between the students’ athletic and academic schedules.
High Caliber Education in a Global Environment
The Pendleton School is truly a global community of highly motivated student athletes from more than 50 countries, with faculty who can speak 12 languages, and class sizes averaging 12 students. Pendleton’s student athletes thrive while balancing rigorous athletic training and demanding academic programs with the support of a dedicated faculty working in concert with IMGA’s world class coaches. Students can elect to take AP or dual-enrollment courses or even work with faculty on individualizing a high caliber educational program that meets their needs. Standardized test scores have consistently shown Pendleton students to rank at or above national and state averages.
Preparation for Prestigious Higher Learning
Pendleton’s college preparatory program results in high school senior athletes who understand how to bring their competitive focus to their academic life. More than ninety-five percent of the graduates of the Pendleton experience go on to college, many qualifying for entrance to prestigious institutions of higher learning such as Stanford, Cornell, Wake Forest University, and the University of Pennsylvania. Beginning in 9th grade, each Pendleton student is assigned a College Advisor who works in collaboration with IMGA coaches, Pendleton faculty, and parents. As the student reaches 11th grade, the College Advisor guides them toward identifying a pool of colleges that will meet their academic, athletic, and personal aspirations. Pendleton juniors and seniors are carefully supported throughout the college application process, including adherence to NCAA guidelines. Application Information
